This dataset contains Fire Management Zones that are recorded in Bushfire Management Area Plans<\/a>. Fire Management Zones managed by the South Australian Department for Environment and Water are stored in a separate Fire Management Zones<\/a> dataset. Each type of Fire Management Zone is defined in the document "Fire Management Zone Standard and Guidance for Use 2.0", which is available on the Bushfire Management Planning<\/a> page on the CFS website. The following is an excerpt from that document taken in March 2021: "Where significant risks, either from bushfire or inappropriate fire regimes, are identified in an approved fire management plan, FMZs may be applied as a strategy to identify where fire management activities are considered a priority to mitigate the identified risk/s."<\/p>
