description:

This dataset contains Landscape Treatment Investigation Areas that are recorded in Bushfire Management Area Plans (BMAPs). Landscape Treatment Investigation Areas are defined in the document titled "Bushfire Management Area Plan Handbook (2018)", which is available on the Bushfire Management Planning page on the CFS website. The following is an excerpt from that document taken in March 2021: "Landscape Treatment Investigation Areas are identified as areas of strategic importance for bushfire suppression or for the protection of a cluster of assets. These areas require further assessment and consultation with stakeholders during the life of the BMAP to determine the most effective, acceptable and achievable fuel management strategies to provide strategic opportunities across the landscape. They may involve the mechanical removal of vegetation, use of prescribed burning, or weed management depending on operational practicality, environmental factors and ecological impacts."

LMS Metadata: Currently no LMS metadata record exists for this dataset.

Spatial Reference: South Australia Lambert (GDA 2020); EPSG: 8059
